Welcome to our seventh annual Summit for University Center Leaders. Each year we convene a network of university center directors, staff, and faculty who are committed to advancing liberal values on their campuses and beyond. We believe that by collaborating and sharing lessons learned, we can help each other reach our goals.

This year we’re excited to be experimenting with an “unconference” model for our sessions to better facilitate knowledge sharing. This participant-driven format is designed to provide an optimal environment for academic entrepreneurs like you to form partnerships, solve problems, and gain new insights.

We hope that as you share your aspirations, successes, and challenges over the next three days, you will connect with others who will prove to be valuable acquaintances for future collaborations. One academic, program, or institute cannot foster a free and prosperous society alone. But, together, we can form the partnerships that will bring about social change.

Duty of Care

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University considers the safety of all those in attendance at the Summit for University Center Leaders our top priority. As we navigate this in-person event we look to implement several precautionary measures as outlined in our duty of care document to best keep everyone safe and healthy. This Duty of Care is a living document that will continue to evolve as we determine the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our participants and staff.

You will be provided a wristband at check-in to coordinate with the message you’d like other participants to respect in terms of socializing.
